Interviews with Kauffman Scholars

Interviews with Kauffman Scholars

About This Campaign

Goodwill is partnering with Kauffman Scholars on a Career Development Workshop! Kauffman Scholars is a multi-year college access and scholarship program designed to help low-income urban students in Kansas City prepare for and complete a college education. On July 30th, the Scholars are participating in a workshop that will prepare them for careers; breakout sessions include LinkedIn, resumes, etc.

We're looking for volunteers to conduct short mock interviews with scholars at the event, and then give constructive feedback. This practice is essential to earning employment.

Interviews will be conducted during the two breakout sessions (1:10pm-1:55pm and 2:00pm-2:45pm). Volunteers need only be onsite between 1pm and 3pm. Optional lunch with other event volunteers and staff will be served at 11:30am.

Goodwill of Western Missouri & Eastern Kansas

Campaign to Support Goodwill of Western Missouri & Eastern Kansas

Goodwill empowers people with disadvantages and different abilities to earn and keep employment through individualized programs and services.  For 125 years, Goodwill has provided services in and around Greater Kansas City.  On average 90¢ of every dollar Goodwill spends supports LOCAL programs and services.

Goodwill is a leader in sustainability, annually diverting 15 million pounds of computers, paper, clothing and textiles from area landfills, recovering the value through resale and recycle. As a member of Goodwill Industries International, we are a part of the world's largest and most successful network to provide employment and training services for people with different abilities.
