Virtual Job Fair

About This Campaign

Our national unemployment rate is the highest we've seen since the Great Depression. These individuals are our neighbors, spouses, parents, siblings, or friends - and they are suffering. When a person is unemployed or underemployed, their income is limited, and so is their ability to support themselves and their family.

Goodwill is hosting a Virtual Job Fair to connect employers to individuals who are unemployed or underemployed. Many of these individuals have been significantly impacted by COVID-19.

Volunteers will:
- Monitor chat in Zoom and respond to questions
- Assist with creating breakout rooms in Zoom
- Monitor breakout rooms in Zoom
- Match employer to job seekers for 1-on-1 virtual interviews
- Provide feedback on resumes
- Facilitate virtual mock interviews

Volunteers:
- Must have access to a personal computer and reliable internet connection
- Must be familiar with video conferencing (i.e. Zoom)
- Must be proficient in the use of computers, email, online platforms, etc.
- Preferred experience with reviewing resumes and conducting interviews

In addition to serving during the job fair on Tuesday June 30th, there is a mandatory training for volunteers. Live training will take place virtually on Friday June 26th, 1pm-2pm. The training recording may also be emailed to you.

Thank you for volunteering!
